How can I tell my family that I found a wolf and wanna keep it? :S?
Okay so almost every Summer me and my family go in that one village, this Summer it was announced that wolfs went crazy for unknown reason and came close to the village. I really hate when people misunderstand animals they think that just because for example a bear is large it’s a killer, or just because a dear is weak it should be killed by those stupid hunters then later to show off to his friends
Well yeah there were those wolfs sounds at nights that were really close but what did these people want?! thats how they sound should they start rap singing for them instead or what? Jesus… :S So well I’ve been having hard time that Summer because my father died (now 6 monthes ago) and also I am very sensitive so I was feeling sad one night and I escaped from my house at like 4:00 am I wanted to walk somewhere far away from those noisy people so I headed over to woods to relax… You know when ur walking in that far u dont realise that u may get lost cus ur like "ah house is near, i cant get lost" but I actually stepped in too far, I didnt wanna panic, I thought that it’s already 4:00 am so soon sunlight will start to show up and I’ll go back, though I was afraid to death but when I am sad I swear I am not afraid of dying I’d at least meet my dad so I lyed down and started to wait but i had a gut feeling that i was in danger and somebody was there and then I saw that something moving towards me but i couldnt care less then die in that moment and that was that wolf but it was injured kind of i think cus he was like weird and alone so i thought he fell apart from his pack. I was really scared cus I didnt even know what it was I was afraid it was something larger and more dangerous then a wolf like a bear or something a hungrey one o.o but i put my hand on it and it didnt seem to be agressive so after a while i hugged it. I really love showing my love to animals especially dogish ones lol. Well it was already like 6 am and light made it clear that it was a wolf but I was more afraid that i was lost so we walked and walked and walked I actually followed it and finally after like an hour and half he ran away then i felt real alone but turns out i was near to my house already. it was like a darkest nightmare but i was happy i made a new friend and i felt more safe about those night sounds. I kept visiting it every night but sometimes it wasnt there, actually nobody exept him was there. to say shortly we made friends. now we went back to our home in town and i really miss him but this Summer we’re going back, my family doesnt have any idea about this all actually nobody has, i dont wanna tell anybody cus then my family might hear it from somebody and i will lose my friend forever
now i am very worried cus he may be freezing there (it’s snowing) all alone, cus he doesnt have friends (Well he’s never with a pack) and i dont even know his age he may be old and already dead or something :S he also may be killed by those heartless crazy people or by some animal cus he has nobody to be protected by… or maybe he’s ill cus he walks like weirdley as if he’s legs hurt!
PLEASE no rude answers cus it’s really important for me
And answers to what u may ask:
Yes, I am sure it’s not a dog reasons:1. he’s 2 large for a dog 2. I can make diffarance lol
plus I talked to this old crazy villager man and asked him to describe me a wolf (its voice, color, character etc) and he’s a big fan of wolves and has a lot of pics of wolves that totally match mine.
And by reading this message PLEASE dont think that wildlife is so undangerous and please dont risk ur lives by doing the same thing as i did because I was very LUCKY that he turned out to be so friendly thats like 1/100 %
And please people dont be ridiculous like saying: u might have been dreaming or
You had halucinations ( -.- )
and stuff like that
And also pelase tell me how do I explain to my family that I want A WOLF AS A PET… I am sure they’ll never let me. Plus I have 2 dogs :S That wolf is not wild he isnt even in a pack, he’ll make a perfect pet plus he’s so lovely
and I can’t leave him there in that damned place, i know he wants to live with me, he never wanted to leave me, clearly it is that he needs a friend
And 2 more answers for you
if it is legal or not: I dont care about those stupid rules nobody asks those dumbasses if I am gonna keep a wolf or a dragon lol so thats not a prob
another: dont u worry about it being dangerous, he’s the most kind creature i’ve ever seen, he’s kinder then any labrador!
PLEASE PLEASE help…
Gosh people I am not immature I just am NOT heartless like u are, that wolf is not in a pack he may be killed by an animal or those brainless hunters, those people in that village are totally crazy and mean
And yeah HOW IN THE HELL is it connected with Twiligh? Gosh lol New Moon wasnt even realised for that time it heppend monthes ago…. Yea i like that movie but I am not so immature to make it up or something -.-
And if ur reading a question read it properly…
thank u that at least one person is sorry for my dad………………
And no I do not wanna keep any wild animal i am better with my poodle and rott normal dogs but have to do something about this one
Btw I am 15 (I know I am not a grown up I am a teen) so I am not so dumb to mix a wolf and a dog its like to mix a dragon and a rabbit and stop saying "grow up" please dont be so heartless.
And the reason I dont wanna contac animal shelter ppl cus I am afraid they may take it to a zoo or something
1: Sorry for the loss of your father.
2: You do not have wolf.
3: Even if you do have a wolf, to take anything from the wild is illegal.
4: Just about every state requires a permit and in some places they fully outlaw them.
5: Clearly you are far too young to deal with even a wolfdog.
6: The fact that you could care less about if it is legal or not just shows how immature and uneducated you are.
7: Take the poor dog to a shelter and grow up first.
8: All animals, domestic or not have the potential to be dangerous.
9: Wolves do not make "perfect pets"
10: I am going to stop now because kids like you piss me off.
EDIT: Again, clearly by all your statements you are fully uneducated about the situation. If you knew wolves and their behavior you would know it is not a wolf. There there are various breeds of dogs and mutts that look like wolves.
You call us hearthless but we are the ones suggesting you actually RESPECT a wild animal to be a wild animal and not just a pet because you like it. (but still you do not have a wolf)
You say you do not want to keep a wild animal but you claim this one is different. That is where your blindness and ignroance comes in. Even if it was a wolf (which it is not) you would know that it is STILL a wild animal and even if it is friendly now does not mean it cannot attack. Plus even if it was a wolf adding more dogs into the picture is going to cause serious problems (i thought i read you had other dogs if i am mistaken then forget that last part).
And your last stament shows how blind you are. You are worried that PROFESSIONAL people will come and care for the animal the way it should be. Instead you are being selfish and flat out ignoring the law.
To me, your actions are for someone who is greedy and not someone who loves something. If you really loved it you would have it cared for by the proper people.
EDIT 2: Just so you know this question will probably be deleted since you are asking how to do something that is illegal and even state that you do not care if it is legal or not.

Can’t you take your mum/selected family along to see it to try get them to understand? The just tell them what you have said here. If they can see it means so much to you I’m sure you could train it, you get people looking after lion cubs etc so if you’ve been in contact with the wolf and it’s not harmless I see no problem. maybe first give the local vet a call and see if they can give you any advice on keeping one/looking after one

why did you write this book? talk to animal planet people

Okay first of all i don’t know why in the entire world how or why you would want to keep a wolf in your home
at least tell your mum and dad about it and if they don’t agree at all with your wants then you may as well phone up some sort of animal helpline and tell them all about your story and they may be able to take care of it carefully in a centre.

Why does this sound like twlight?
Wolfs aren’t pets and they are not "Labrador’s!" Nor should they ever be! wolves are better off in the wild in their natural habitat where it is free! Bringing it to your home will cause it more danger than it is in the wild! If you really love it you’ll let it stay free!
Don’t be selfish! Your family wont allow this one! Grow up a little

Wolves are not pets and you are robbing it of a normal life by wanting to keep it. Let it go to live and run free. What is wrong with you?

sorry i know your predictament here… but legally wolves are illegal to keep as pets, the wolf u found might be docile but remember wolves are pack animals… if u find one there will be more and they might not be gentle at all. it’s illegal to keep any form of wildlife as a pet . i know this already tried to keep a fox as a pet… animal control took him. call animal control and they’ll put him in a wild life preserve or a zoo. it’s the best u can do. if u do keep one… u could be fined heavily and charged with several crimes. sorry but the world isnt built for wild animals no matter how gentle he mightof been he’s a wild animal and he bolongs there.. plus.. he would be a danger to other pets.. remember wolves are carnivores… they have a very strong instinct to hunt … u cannoy breed that out. so if u see it again call animal control, they will properly take care of it… without it or anyone else being harmed… plus.. what u described might not be a wolf… it could be a coyote since most wolves avoid humans altogether… unless u were in the deep woods in a national park in the midwest.. i highly doubt u saw a wolf. what u saw was most likely a coyote , larger than your average large dog… and it has been known to wander into human populated areas… and scrounge around and has been known to be more docile than a wolf.. however backed into a wall they will harm humans. plus.. coyotes are hunters too remember that. notify your local animal control, its the right thing to do.. plus… wild animals like wolves and coyotes belong in the wild.. they aren’t meant to be housed up… and most wild canines.. will kill dogs.. do u want your dogs u own to die? remember both coyotes and wolfs are very territorial. u hafta be objective.. im sure it was a nice canine… u haven’t been thinking about your safety, its safety.. all good to keep him at home but what happens when he wants to wander around.. and wolvess like to roam and they are accustomed to large areas… what happens when he sees a dog he doesnt like? ( aka yours.. wolfs + dogs= dogs die and u face criminal charges) what happens when your mailman, and visitors see him? what happens when other pets in the nieghborhood face him .. they’ll be foood. and wolves cannot live on dog food. they’ll die plus most wilf animals carry serious diseases that transfer to other animals and humans quickly. be objective.. and don’t your emotions rule u or u won’t think clearly and make serious mistakes. wolves do kill humans.. as do coyotes. think before u act.

thats like me seeing a coyote where i live (mojave desert) and thinking i could keep it.
Although, there have been a few times where I have seen one and thought it was a shepherd. But you would most likely need permits for it if you are even able to keep it because it is most likely illegal.
Even though it may be sweet or seems friendly, it is still a wolf and still has wolf instincts.
Any animal can be loving but its a wild animal and with that its always going to have the wolf in him. I wouldn’t risk it just because I dont think its safe and dont want to see anyone injured. I know a guy that owns 2 wolves. I guess they are pretty well trained but have tried to attack or have tried bitting. To be honost, i wouldn’t want the liability.
