Notice an unarmed guy was beaten up by police officers. What’s worse is WHY he was beat up. They thought he had a gun! If this guy is a US citizen with the right to keep and bear arms, why in the world would cops beat him up for allegedly having one? This is not about guns. This is about innocent until proven guilty.
He was beaten up in a struggle because police thought he had a gun. He is 18 and not allowed to have one. If he did not struggle and complied with orders, things would not have gotten this far.
Your argument is off base and I am a supporter of the second amendment, He was not beaten because the cops thought he had a gun, he was beaten because he resisted.
Clearly a court will decide if the officers acted improperly.
You are not interested in innocent until proven guilty as you have, and are trying to get others, to convict these officers in a court of public opinion.

That is what happens when a person runs from the police and disobeys their lawful orders.

an isolated incident… you should site articles in which a real criminal was mowed down when he held a couple(one of whom carried a concealed weapon-legally.) you should be against criminals carrying unregistered weapons first…then come talking to me about abolishing guns.

This is an example of police brutality, possibly involving racism. You are correct, it is not about guns, but you are incorrect when you assert at the beginning that it IS about guns.

Do you want to know why I am for guns?
A man who was out of his mind on drugs walked into my grandfathers house when I was a young child with the intent of robbing and killing both my nana and papa. While Nana was on the phone Papa had his gun ASKING the person to leave, warned him to leave then shot him dead when he tried to attack.
I believe that if a robber knows every house is armed and the odds of getting killed are higher they may not be so quick to act.
I am a GUN OWNER, I am licensed to CARRY a gun, And I vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leave my money, my guns and freedom alone…. Keep the "Change"

Without knowing the circumstances, and not knowing what the case scenario reads,
I am going to reserve comment. However if these detectives or PCO’S were assigned
to my squad, We would be having a come to Jesus meeting right as we speak. If what
is true and correct as reported in this encapsulation of news print, then those three
officers would be suspended and in need of their PBA Or FOP rep. IA would be beating
a path to their doorstep. I do not now, nor have I ever put up with misconduct on the
part of those people assigned to my squad. If you break the law then you are no better
than the element we are working so diligently to put behind bars.
Also in retrospect, if this young man is found to be culpable or involved in an action
to draw this type of response. Then the three officers should be apologized to and
nothing in their jackets to denote this action.
It is so easy to judge a police officer after the fact. One
must be totally open minded, when assessing facts that
are not visible. If you weren’t there. Then you don’t know.
We must let the investigation work its way out, and as the
facts present themselves then we will all know.

Do you want to know why I’m against people against gun control? Because they do not think the situation through. You might ask, "How many people have been saved because of firearms?" I would like to know how taking the guns out of the hands of people NOT doing anything wrong with them is going to control crime? Firearm education is the answer, more responsibility and training leads to fewer accidents.

If this guy is a US citizen with the right to keep and bear arms, why in the world would cops beat him up for allegedly having one?
Gang members and drug dealers who got their guns from the streets who then use them to kill each other don’t have a right to own a gun. Only law abiding citizens who bought their gun legally and don’t have a criminal or psychological record can buy a gun. That’s how it is where I’m from.
